We got over 8" of rain after lunch yesterday in my suburb of Kingwood yesterday. My 30 minute commute home was about 2 hours do to the street flooding. My little neighborhood is fairly high and dry, but man getting to it was a chore. Kingwood had an estimated 400 homes get at least some water enter them. Hurricane Harvey saw thousands of homes flood.

I decided to purchase flood insurance today for piece of mind. Luckily where I am zoned I can get the cheapest premium, about $480 bucks a year.

Oh yeah, heavy rain is in the forecast through Saturday:eek:

My sister and brother in laws place in Friendswood flooded badly last year.
They just got back in it, and back to normal.
They sure don’t need any more of this.
