It's that time again! Who is your WS picks? Who takes it all?
I'm not sure yet. It's too close to call, at least for me. I'd like to see the Cubbers go all the way.

    Looking forward to watching

I'm a Brewers fan, so I guess I'll need to root for my childhood favorite team, the Orioles, this year. I think if they can get a lead early tonight they can win, their bullpen is amazing, especially Zach Britton

Bumgarner vs Syndergaard tomorrow night sure seems like a classic pitching matchup

The last time the Cubbies took it all, this was a brand new car:

Hate to say it but the Red Sox are on fire. Hurts this Baltimoron. First pitch against Toronto is in 9 minutes.

The key to true happiness is reasonable expectations . . .

All bets are off --- the Giants made the playoffs. There's no telling how well they might play.

By the stats, the Cubs & Sawx are W.S. bound. Which would be a great Series, and tough for me. I love them both, especially for their stadiums and long-suffering lore. But the Sawx have won three since '04. That's 2004. Gotta go Cubbies, then.

But the baseball gods swat as they will our expectations and predictions. It's the Mickey Lolich principle. Mickey played 16 waddling years, with 840 total at-bats (including his 19 postseason at-bats). He hit exactly one home run: in the '68 World Series' Game 2, driving in the go-ahead run. Who'da thunk it.

My scanted mutt sentimental favorites are the Orioles. A hard-scrabble team, with a smart manager. 2-2, bottom 6th, in Toronto.

    Let's Go Mets!

As much as a repeat of last year would be awesome, I'm guessing they are one and done or out vs the Cubs. If not the Mets, then the Cubs do my wife will be happy.

Giants fan here too. We have such an uphill battle this year though. The only team with longer odds is Baltimore now :). I grew up 90 miles outside of Chicago so I remember seeing a lot of Cub games. It would be great if they pulled it off. Anyone but the Dodgers or the Red Sox are good with me. Puig is a hot dog and Ortiz is a juicer.

The O's got quashed, but I was pulling for them. I knew it was going to be a fight.

I'd like to see my Jays representing the AL, but I'm not sure I'd put my money on it.

I only saw that last inning, but boy, did Encarnacion drill that pitch!

That was quite a hit. I never left my chair for the whole game. I was a Canadian toddler for the back to back WS run in the 90's. Safe to say I've been a fan since then.

Cubs fan since birth, so I'll be screaming at the TV in their support. Have already warned the wife, though she's used to it anyway.

My boy is lucky. At 7, he's seen almost as much legitimate postseason excitement around the Cubbies as I have in my whole life. Not quite, but close.

Don't look now, but how 'bout them Mariners? Closest we've come in a long time, just came alive a bit too late.

I'm glad to see the Jays in there. They give the Canucks something to squawk about.:D

Our whole country came together for last year's postseason run. We took those games as seriously as gold medal Olympic hockey games.
