Just left the Tritone Gear event on N Grand. Anyone else go?
I wanted to, but had to attempt a shower install today. How was it?
I just joined the forum today. I'm in Kirkwood, MO
Grew up in T&C but spent most of my time in K-Wood!!!!
Late response. It was pretty packed and very loud. Cool gear on display for sure.
I live an hour south of St. Louis in Farmington.
Good ole Farmington. Don't you guys let boys in the girls locker rooms down there?
High Ridge here.
I introduced myself here a long time ago and have kept up periodically on other fellow MO members. I'm a Tele guy out in west STL county (Ellisville). I'm currently looking at gathering up some liked mined country musicians for a country band. I love me some Cash/Haggard/Jones/etc for older country and would also love to play some newer country (Church/Chesney/Paisley/Urban/etc/etc) I've got some great connections with regards to vocals (male and female) and other instruments but have always thought, should I put a country band together, I'd be doing myself a disservice not to post on TDPRI.
Anyone around here wanting to play out every now and then (I'm not looking to play a ton and 1-2 decent shows a month would be fine with me). I have a nice/comfortable place to practice with a decent PA, mic's and monitors for everyone, even an extra AC15 should another gtr player just want to show up with an axe and pedal board.
I'm 40 y/o and age doesn't really matter....just love country music and want to put together a decent little show.
I am just north of Castlewood.
If I could play any country at all I would love to play.
I'm in Lawrence, KS, but I get to MO now and again. My dad is from a farm about halfway between Hannibal and Monroe City and my mom is from a farm a few miles west of California, MO. Cousins all over the state.
Good luck with it Kvgros. 40's is still great time to play out. I broke all the bones in my picking arm so all I do anymore is chords an a little lite lead on the ole slower tunes. Primarily to amuse my self and keep things from stiffening up worse. Guitar as rehab, lol.
Hopefully you found some people. I played in bands around town here for about 18 years. Tried about 2 years ago to get something together. After 18 months I just plain gave up. Hard to find people in their 40's who like the same stuff and can synch schedules. Check out School of Rock their by bread co, they have a cool adult program where you can meet people.
I'm here in KCMO too. On the south side by Martin City.
JC Mo here. Just saw this .
Born and raised in Lee's Summit, Mo. Just visited a couple of weeks ago. Went to school with Pat Matheny and played and sang with Nicollete Larson, if anyone remembers her. Now living in Southern California because it's warmer and has an ocean.
Sedalia, MO here, home of the State Fair which is on now!
We should have a TDPRI MO jam at a club or bar!
How about a displaced Ozarker?
Spent a few years in Ozark County, between Tecumseh and Gainesville. Ever heard of East wind?
