Two isn't really the problem... Two Strats though? Intervention time.

There is no such thing as ‘too many guitars’.

That Daphne Blue Strat is Purdy! I usually don't like painted headstocks on Strats or Teles (I guess they're ok on JMs) but it looks cool here. And don't let them tease you about posting Strats on a Tele forum, cause everyone here is really friendly. My Avatar has always been a Strat. I have 8 Strats and only one Tele and one Jag, and they haven't kicked me to the curb yet. And they're more forgiving here. I've been permanently banned from Strat Talk for posting a comment that they thought was too political. I may have gotten a warning here, and I was given a week long vacation on TGP once, but never banned.
So, is that a FSR of the MIM Classic 60s Strat? And where did you find it? My first electric was a Daphne Blue '65 Mustang that my parents bought me for Christmas that year (yes I'm that old). I just turned 65 yesterday, so I'm now part of the Medicare generation. To quote Neil, Keep on Rockin' in the Free World!

So...is the XII in any way "Rickenbacker-y"?

Yep a 60's Classic MIM strat. Funny my first real guitar was a Fender Duo-Sonic in Daphne blue!

    The 12 string is MIJ.

To make it Rick like the octave strings would have to be flipped to the treble side of the wound ones. That's one of the things that gives Rick 12s their unique sound.

If your avatar didn't say middle of the country, I would have sworn that you were an old buddy of mine.

Yup, you are in for a very long ride of life and there is no solution.

There are always interesting guitars at great prices everywhere. If you have the money, establishing needs and wants is a real issue and worth thinking about.
