Yep, I'm the result of one of those UP Universities

Spent 5 years in Marquette in pursuit of higher education, gained a wife and an assload of debt, and am back "home" in Grand Rapids...itching to find a good job somewhere in the UP again, at least for a few years.

I'm from and still live in the Metro D area. I love the entire state, though. Camping, fishing, biking, etc.
I would never live anywhere other than Michigan.
Largest supply of fresh water in the world is a plus as well :)

I live in the Royal Oak area. Moved from NY about 20 years ago. Really want to move to Chicago some day.

I was born in Detroit in 1969. My parents were former art students and part of the whole creative scene. I remember living in a bunch of different run down but huge Victorian houses in sketchy neighborhoods. They had a sort of hippy camp up in the U.P. with tar paper shacks where we would go to get away from the riots. When I was 5 and 6 we moved to Waterford and then Pontiac and later we moved to Massachusetts and then upstate NY..... You know what i miss, remember Vernor's ginger ale back in the day when I was really strong and it would make you sneeze when you tried to take your first sip?

You sound like it's a good thing you don't have any neighbors.

I'm from Rochester Hills, but for the past few years I have been a student at Michigan Tech (GO HUSKIES!!!), so I've been spending most of my time in the Copper Country.

I'm from Canton, but moved away for school almost 10 years ago, then settled in AZ. My house in AZ is full of Michigan reminders though. It still is home to me.

Lived in Ann Arbor until age 15. Still miss it in some ways. Great town. Would like to get back and visit in the near future. I'm still a maize and blue fan, but that's been a little disappointing lately.

Yoopers are scary? Gimme a break. We'll be the first ones to stop and pull your Cadillac out of the snowbank when you bury it trying to drive in the almost 90 inches we've gotten so far in December. Keweenaw baby!

I'm from Rochester Hills. I moved here in 1980 after living in Ann Arbor for 10 years. I absolutly love living in Michigan and can't imagine ever living anywhere else. My parents and my sister live up near Elderly so I stop by whenever I go to see them, my favorite store ever.

I grew up in Center Line and Clinton Township and now living in Linden Mi. My job has had me travel all over the country but I haven't found a place I like better than Michigan.
