Should I recognize track 3? I didn't listen to more than about 10 seconds but all the others were easily recognizable.

The first one appears to be a little demanding; let´s see if I can make something out of it.

I may have to excuse myself from May.

I did 1 (or one that sounds almost identical to it), 2, and 4 when I was in a band and I know them very well. I can't even begin to tell you all the hours I put in to learning #4.

    Some good stuff there!

I wouldn't say you have to excuse yourself Shane. If those tracks are very familiar and you feel up to it , go for it.

This was a tough one. The groove is hard to hold onto. At least it was for me. Take note though. I watched a live performance of this song from 1974 and the guitarist played an awful solo.

First to you Mark. Your playing style is creamy on this track , I love the lines you played and the final verse was my favorite .

Thanks Mark.I did the recording in three sections, it was the same guitar and the amp sim was a Fender Bassman with the effects changed up on each verses and different selections on my pickups

Gentleman, as stated above, I think that this is a very demanding track, as it was never meant to be a guitar bt; there is little room for variations on chord changes, dynamics etc.; the song lives with the vocals and lyrics, and that is hard to do with a guitar.

So you all got my deeply felt respect for your perfomances - filling that track with a guitar solo without repeating oneself!

Mike, I like your "band idea", e.g using different guitar settings and playing styles.

Mark, you found a great tone and played some really good lines.

Jjpish, I love your opening. Good you kept your moderate tempo and did not allow the track to speed you up.

Joe - I liked where you placed your guitar in the mix. Pretty good dynamics too, you let it rest here and there.

Here is my version. You will find that i fudged a little bit, because I was not the only one who contributed to the outcome; in fact, it was a family collaboration. Hope you enjoy, though.
