Same situation as kyussvegas & Franko, looking for a good all a round teacher in the north shore area but open to suggestions along the 128 corridor or Cambridge.

Along the lines am looking for a few friends (or not friends) to get together and play guitar. Not a jam session, more like a support group for the old(er) (any age welcome though) player that wants a friendly no pressure atmosphere to hang out with guitars. Accidental music may result.

Sort of like "middle age with some fancy gear needing an outlet to over come shyness".

Liking beer would be a bonus. Anyone?

I'd be interested. Most of my friends don't play anything, and those that do don't typically want to get together.

I'm still relearning a lot of guitar but I don't care how bad I am around others. I'm simply happy my wife recognizes anything I play at this point!

That's one, thanks kyussvegas. I am not sure how to get this rolling (and i am starting a new job next week so confusion reigns temporarily).

Any one else? kyussvegas & I will be a formidable team, 7 chords and some loud guitars.

That's one more chord than me-
If I was still in Salem, MA, I would bring the bass and beers.

Well, we're on a roll now. One response and some smartassery. What could go wrong with this idea?

In an attempt to attract participants I will lower expectations to 4 chords (I'll include that pesky Em) and a ukelele. Anyone?

I'm up in Newburyport; could probably drop on by some time. The real trick will be finding a weekend that I'm not working.

    Hey all,
Just wanted to check in real quick. I live in Watertown, so the Boston area, and am really looking for people to jam with. I've been playing for a long time, Americana, altcountry style stuff on acoustic and singing with a few friends, but recently and finally bought myself a tele and have a great amp so looking to play with like minded folks. I've been having trouble finding people in Boston to play with...any ideas? The people who've posted for a jam, send me a pm if you think its a fit and you are planning to play.

jpborn, I'd give it a go. (the bad news, i just quite a job in watertown for a job in tewksbury) As soon as I get this new job sorted out I'd be glad to play some of my 7 chords while you, uhm do something else melodious. The music is a fit, I like both kinds of music, country and western. Although I am not sure I know how to jam.
