I went over to GC to check-out their "Pre-owned" selection and this one came home with me.

It's a 2012 American Standard with CS Fat 50's. Still has the clear plastic cover on the PG & BP which will be removed once I get it set-up.

You picked a beauty. American Standards have always been nice guitars in my book.

That rosewood fingerboard looks particularly good and while I normally prefer white or pearl pickguards I really like that dark sparkler.

You will enjoy that guitar I know.

That's a stunner. Fantastic combination of colour, pickguard and rosewood neck. How does she sound?

The guitar is in excellent condition with very little use/wear and the sounds/plays as good as looks. The pick-ups are more forward or brighter than previously released Am Std pups. I spent a lot time A/B with a 2011 model and picked this one. I liked the overall tone better, personal taste of course.

I think the pick-guard was changed? It's shielded and has a "Genuine Fender" sticker on it? I did a sound check with a 2013 Am Std side-by-side when I was checking it prior to purchase.

In addition, I took the pick-guard off when changing the strings. Everything looks stock the under the hood. The pickups have the color code dots (Blue Dot - Neck, No Dot - Middle, Red Dot - Bridge) and solder joints are clean/uniform.

According to the my Sales Rep that I've known and done business for a number years the Strat was purchased and traded-in at same store by one of their customers?

Overall, I'm very pleased it and like the color combo too thanks for the comments!
