As a former graphic designer, I was going to say all the bullet points above too, practically word-for-word. The state outline is very recognisable all over the world, but it needs to be solid, with OCD in a bold sans serif type. I'd size the letters so that the edges of O and D are slightly cropped - this would give the unit some 'movement'. The solid Texas shape doesn't necessarily need to be black.

That looks much better. Just make sure it isn't going to be under the string tree if you'll be using one. Looks like you're okay though.

Are you married to the name "OCD" ?.....I tend to think if your target market is 15 year old boys, it might work. If you're looking for credibility with an older demographic, you might reconsider. Even "Seguin Guitars" might be better....it doesn't allow a potential buyer to apply a preconceived prejudice toward the term "OCD". Just a thought....no charge.

I'll let the others give you a critique on your logo, I like your updated version, but I'll add that when I did mine I put the string tree too close to it. So when I was looking at it from the front it looked fine but when I hold it in playing position it blocks a bit of my logo from my view, which is nothing major at all, but it does bug me. I could have gone an inch or even half an inch in the other direction and it would have been fine. Since your logo is bigger it's definitely something to think about when you get that string tree going.

Change up the headstock shape to ensure people take a closer look.

If putting in all the work, you may not get the credit if someone only glances at the guitar, and assumes its a Fender.

+!. Once an acronym has a meaning, it's impossible to repurpose it. Don't take it from me, take it from Ayds.

    Just don't like it.

First, we know it's a guitar. You don't need that word. OCD Custom is enough.

And the state map? Come on. Boring with a capital B.

And I AM a former/still kind of graphic artist...worked for a major Madison Avenue ad agency in another capacity...but that's irrelevant.

Back to the drawing board on this one, and I wouldn't be so critical if I didn't root for you to come up with something much better.

I don't have a problem with OCD, because it's memorable. But it's not memorable in a favorable way.

No offense, but also, who cares about Seguin? What's the point?

Is Seguin the newest hotbed of quality guitar manufacturing that I know nothing about?

Same theory for Texas. Totally irrelevant.

USA made is a different story.

Nojasshere, this all for fun. I don't plan to quit my day job and become a starving luther. No offence to real full time luthers. Its like knife makers. There's a whole hell of a lot of them out there but just a small percentage that actually make a living at it, and I do envy those that can do something they love doing and make a living at it.
I doubt I could ever part with a guitar I built anyway except to maybe give as a gift.

I like the invocation of Texas. Exotic.

Never heard of Seguin, but I think the Logo info needs to be split between the front and back of headstock. Location on the back.

    Florida would be exotic, too!

It would look cool branded into the wood with a hot branding iron .

Which is why you don't see guitars with "Made in Florida" on them.

    You're simply missing the point.
