    I really like mine, now...but it needed some work. Great guitar 'piece of wood wise' but didn't come thru the amp well until I had Callaham ABR-1 bridge, alum stop, and some good PAF type pups installed. However I hear that most of them are fine as is. Mine also has a big 59 type neck which I love. Real difference is a wider and flatter radius fretboard, which is actually pretty comfortable!
