so am not sure if these are a UK only brand, but in my quest for a cheap Tele i stumbled across these.

They Retail for £80 from Amazon and from the video demo i like.

not a fan of the headstock but that can be changed

I never trust companies that sell their own brands with high crossed out prices and low selling prices.

Lindo is a general goods import company (cycles, trainers, office furniture etc).
The guitars will be sourced from one of the big Chinese manufacturers and badged Lindo.

The single Amazon review is just tooooo good to be true.

    So there you have it.

they look like HK guitars with a different logo.

basswood body, crap electronics and terrible necks that are twisted out of the box and frets that are crap.

any squier would be better quality really.

im in the UK, we dont have those over here and any squier will be £80+ more expensive.

i agre about the review, but the youtube video sounds pretty good, difficult desicion!

    the sound isn't the problem,
    its the playability.

    the necks are terrible.

Each to their own but I wouldnt buy that guitar at any price when for not much more money you could get a squier

Do you mean the Lindo or the J Deacon?

I have also read somewhere that the J Deacons can be very good VFM.
Not heard anything about Lindo. The name puts me off though - sounds cheap.
Yes, I know .. I'm a bit silly like that.

Either way, I think Squier Affinity is £60 + more?
That £60+ would go a long way towards modding a Jim Deacon into something pretty decent.

And having owned two Affinity Tele's I know for sure that they also need a bit of modding too. They are good platforms though, and great fun.
Personally I'd prefer to find a cheap 2nd hand one.
There were thousands upon thousands of Affinities bought for enthusiastic Teens, who played it twice and came to the horrific realisation that you had to practice to sound good. Thus dumped in a dry, warm place for a bit and then eventually bunged on the local free-ads / shop window for peanuts.

Thats my idea of good value ;)

I have just stumbled across this discussion about the Lindo Tele and thought I would share my thoughts with you all.

I have owned a Lindo Tele for around a year now and I have to say that I'am very happy.

Having read the comments regarding the electronics and condition of the neck, I feel that this couldn't be further from the truth. I've had no problems with the electronics and the neck profile feels great!

I understand that when you see a guitar company selling other products that aren't guitar related you want to run far away......FAR AWAY! However over the last year their range has grown and they are starting to produce some unique ideas it seems.

Anyway I don't think people should be swayed by a brand name and lets not forget well known brands like Epiphone, Squier and Guild are now produced in China.

Anyway , as a Lindo Tele owner, I just wanted to let you know my thoughts on this guitar.

I did not suggest you are fake only that the contents of your post are.

If you are from Edinburgh, I am sitting on Curiosity digging red soil up.

I bought a Lindo tele from a pawn shop for £30 5 years ago. The neck is a dream ! And good alder body. I ripped out all electrics and pups as were crap! Re-routed for dirty knuckles neck pup and put a Hotrails in the bridge. Pearloid scratch plate and a bigsby. Set her up and have one of the most playable guitars in my collection :) 15040747287181869105138.jpg
