After playing my tribute to "Old Black" for over twenty years, my wonderful wife got me the appropriate strap for Christmas.
It definitely changed the tone for the better!

I've searched the forum for a thread like this and although there is a bunch of discussion on different straps and where to get them, there's not a lot of pics of what we all have.

    So let's see them.

this is my current strap. I have a few. I like the big wide leather type mostly. They're comfy.

    Sorry , don't have one.
    Single Trooper Aerial Platform (STAP)
STAPs, which appear in The Phantom Menace, are designed to appear reminiscent of the speeder bikes seen in Return of the Jedi.[26] The STAP's design also relates back to Lucas' 1973 idea of ridable "jet-sticks"; a draft of The Phantom Menace refers to the vehicles as STAPS, or Single Troop Armed Pogo Sticks.[26] They were brown with one vertical stem and a horizontal foot stand and a higher horizontal handlebar. It had two twin engines directly underneath the handlebars with one on either side of the vertical stem. The STAP's allowed single droids to travel ahead and scout out the battlefield.

Made this strap last year, taking a bit of time to break in but I love the extra wide 3 1/2 strap

Nothing fancy, I bought this tooled wide leather one with my first 2 guitars way back in 1976 and added strap locks right away, one of those first guitars is sitting next to it, a 1939 Gibson L50, the one that got the strap & locks is a black with gold hardware 1976 Explorer non limited edition.

The strap is pretty worn now, you can't hardly see the tooling anymore. I have a few of the free Gibson and Fender ones laying around too but this is still my favorite one.

...and just a generic plain black 3" strap for my acoustic. No picture necessary.

I feel like a real nerd posting this, but it's a J Garcia design lol. In my defense, I got it from the $5 used bin at Music Go Round.

I've had a line of straps for about 3 years now. Above is my original model.

Here are the new colors I just launched. They'll be available February 1st, and I'll be running a TDPRI special at that point as well.

I am weird about straps....every guitar gets it's own and it must match the guitar...some get cheap, some get expensive....I'll post a few later....

We're more interested in what happened to the girl friend than in the strap, I think?

A Jerry Garcia strap? Darn! All I have is a Jerry Garcia necktie.
