Let's see your Les Paul Jr.'s, whether Gibson or Epiphone!

A simple but perfect guitar for getting down to basics and playin' your heart out!

they look great and the simple straight forward design is virtually pristene and gorgeous in it's aesthetic economy of design. I'm certainly not a sound engineer but the simplicity of design and layout, begs the question not how it works so well, but how could it not work so well!
Some things just make perfect sense and no matter how hard we try, we just to screw 'em up. The little L.P. JR. is a case in point... IMHO OF COURSE!

Went of go look at one of these today. They seem so simple; like my homemade esquire. Big dent in the one I looked at--what's a good price? Anyone have any comments on how they partner with a peavey classic 30?

Just got mine 3 days ago - my wife bought it as a surprise for my 30th birthday!:D I've always been a Fender Tele man and this is my first Gibson; its a really fun guitar to play and I think its a nice alternative to my Tele's - they've got a bit of competition now!:D

I'll get a pic up later. I got mine in April of this year as a b-day present for myself. Saved $150 because the pickup cover was scratched. Loved it since the first day.

I just installed a Rio Grande Bluesdawg last week and it screams (more) now! Had to mod the pickup cavity to fit it in, not deep enough.

Considering the main point of this forum (TELE).......I believe this one gets some club time.....not Gibby or Epi though :

Thought I'd add my mutt to the club here. I found it ages ago in the dusty back end of a dusty music store with a bargain bin price on it. It had no pickguard, knobs or even a finish on it and the p/u was dead but I love the shape of LP Jrs and it needed a home badly. I'm not even 100% convinced it's the real thing (well, 85-90%) since there's no name on the headstock (who knows what it's been through) but it has loads of mojo just the same.

I need to replace the badass bridge with something lower profile to get the action in line... any advice?

    probably my least-played guitar, but

    not because it isn't great!

just sort of specialized for snarly-type music!

I recently purchased a 2006 Epiphone Les Paul Junior '57 Reissue. Made at Gibson's Daewon facility in China, it's a remarkably well made guitar. The previous owner substituted a Gibson P-90 for the stock P-100 and I had the original bridge/tailpiece replaced with a Tone Pros. I'm really happy with this guitar. The neck is chunky & very comfortable. Here's a photo taken before the bridge swap.

    Yo OSDave -
What exact model is that guitar? I really love the straight bridge.
    Scotty.
