Anyone got a good recipe for Lake Placid Blue. I've read the recipe in Stew Mac's book "Guitar Refinishing" but that one calls for metallic powder made by Crescent Bronze, which appears hard to find.

    Any other ideas besides Reranch?

    tks

It isn't "official" or anything, but here's an "import touch up" duplicolor lacquer I found at most chain auto parts stores that straddles the line between LPB and Agave. It looks very metallic in person, IMO:

Looks like a 3 1/2" scale to me....and so easy to transport.

I wish you luck making your own. I've had very, very good results with Reranch, but their LPB is nitrocellulose. The original was acrylic lacquer.
