just glad to help... and delighted, because it bugs my detractors so much....
Thank you for being so open and sharing!
You are a real stand up guy!
Thanks Ron! You're a standup guy. I don't care what John Said.

Screefer, send me your address via PM and i'll send it off to you since you asked first. Please send to bugeater after you make your tracing. I'll be glad to see it find a new home.
Oh jeez, I just looked at the original listing. Mine is a STRAT template. Does anyone still want it for free?
I'm fine with a strat. I love me a pickgaurdless strat. I'd really love to get a prs template in the future, so sexy.
Thank you very much but I'm a Tele guy so please hook Bugeater up...Thanks All
I like that pickguardless Strat shape too. With Tele guts anyway.
Both of these bodies were cut with templates I created using RK's 52 Tele templates and shaping in my own upper horn.
Ron Kirn....what a gracious guy. From what I've read about him, he's just an awesome advocate for the Telecaster....only wish I could afford one of his pinecasters. (sigh!)
My dream is to own one of these guys. I found an incompleted one but they wanted 1600 for it. They look a lot like the strats, but they are so much better looking.
Is this dead in the water?
Is anyone interested in starting a template mail train for tdpri'ers?
Awesome work. Might be heresy to some, but I can't stand the camel hump on tele's.
You have detractors ?!?
I'm still down for it.
pm me your info and ill calculate shipping
I'm thinking about doing just the opposite, maybe with that ancient-barn-wood Tele blank I've got in storage - HSS Strat setup on a Tele body. I've seen pics of some done that way and they're pretty cool.
for those that may need it... here's the information I used to ship with the templates, back when..
note, this was all written very long ago, back before we knew wood could breathe.. Or that a super-light piece of wood is automatically remarkably resonant, and that combination in no way can sap away the strings energy diminishing sustain, and impacting the voice in ways guys that believe that stuff would never imagine or accept, once slapped in the face with the science... or the best way to excuse your pursuit of the light weight resonant nonsense without having to know the motion dynamics involved is to just say I have a bad back..
so.. just excuse my overwhelming ignorance demonstrated by the repeting theme, that if you can play, pretty much any "problems" associated with the sound of the gear fall to relative insignificance..
and it's a good idea to learn how to level your frets and do the setup before ya start making sawdust.... it's kinda like, if you can't chip 'n putt, it really dosen't matter that ya own a $4000.00 set of clubs and can drive the ball 300 yards... you're still gonna be a 32 handicap...
and the biggie piece of advice... if you in anyway think this is the way to a great world class guitar on the "cheep", stop here ... take up gambling... you'll be far ahead dollar wise..
Have fun and be careful
and a few threads I did in the last decade..
This is fantastic info for anyone looking to dive in to the crazy world of guitar building. This thread, listed above, is what started it all for me:
I might be gonna build something. For now I'm just getting a workspace organized, on the cheap. Which ain't so cheap. Like you say, Ron, get the fretwork down first. Yep, done. Now I need to go deeper.
So, Ron, you now have your own folder on my browser, gathering these builds and tips for my ongoing reference. I've also got some of Gil Yaron's, and Scatterlees wonderful tips and jigs thread. And I'm reading the slow Les Paul build by @TenaciousP.
What other build threads should I be looking for, either current or dusty archives? Anyone got a few favorites they'd like to point me to?
Check this out; you're not the only one thinking along these lines:
