Since he doesn't sell them anymore, let's make a public copy. Send them to one guy... he can make a set of copies and send them to the next guy. And keep it going.

I think thats a great idea. I hope you guys know that Ron doesnt put a centerline on his templates. I found that maddening.

My humble suggestion is to ask Ron Kirn if this would be alright. He's on this forum and it's the right thing to do.

    Just my 2 cents.

Yes he is. But I've been checking the site periodically for the last few months. There are still none available.

I'm quite sure I saw a post here somewhere, from Ron himself, announcing they were not being made/sold anymore.

I called Ron not long ago seeking a template, they were no longer available.

I would seriously dig a telecaster template mail train.

The one on Reverb is 1/2" mdf... the Kirn Strat template I bought several years ago from Pierre is 1/4" or 3/16 masonite.
Maybe they were available in different materials.

Last I saw Ron post about it his son (or son in law) Pierre was no longer making these to sell.

I got a set from Ron himself about 4 years ago when I bought his old (like new) radius sander. Mine are 1/2in MDF or maybe HDF not sure.

I agree with Big Mike-I mean Mike ;)- Looks like they were available in different materails.

I also agree with John, Ron should be asked if he minds the free sharing of his work. It is the right thing to do.

    Cheers,
    Jim

Nah, it's OK, y'all have at it...

I asked Pierre if he would like to have an occasional "special run" of 'em...He just doesn't have the time either....

He is a business owner and "stuff" like that can kinda intrude on your time...:p

    Ron,

I have no personal use for one of your templates, but just wanted to publicly thank you for your generosity to this community, and your spirit of "paying it forward".

You could have just as easily said no, and pretty much would have had every right to controlling your hard work, and shutting down something that would have had no benefit to you financially.

Not to mention all the other great advice you give, I'd just like to extend a big "thank you" to you.
