Just for fun: You pick one guitar of these three

I thought it might be fun to give everyone a choice of one of three guitars to pair with a 1976 Deluxe Reverb to see which one most folks pick. I have no plans to get rid of any of these, so your answer is not being factored into any decision to keep or discard. This is just for fun, as I'm interested to see everyone's opinion.

As stated, the amp is fixed: a SF Deluxe Reverb with a GA-SC64 speaker.

Here are the three guitars to choose from:
    • 1996 Fender Tex-Mex Stratocaster with Seymour Duncan SSL-1s in neck and middle and Seymour Duncan Texas Hot Antiquity in bridge. 9.5 in. radius and medium-jumbo frets. Mods: bridge with modern string spacing, Callaham saddles, a new Ping tremolo block, and Callaham tremolo springs. Tusq nut. All CTS pots, CRL switch, and Switchcraft output jack.
    • 2011 FSR Telecaster with Seymour Duncan Antiquity neck pickup and Cavalier Nocaster Lion in the bridge. 9.5 in. radius and medium-jumbo frets on a modern C-shaped neck. Mods: 4-way switch and vintage-style tuners. Tusq nut. Callaham compensated brass saddles.
    • 2014 Epiphone '56 Les Paul Pro with Epiphone Pro P-90s. 12 in. radius and medium-jumbo frets on a fat 50's-style neck. Mods: Gotoh bridge and stop piece. Switchcraft output jack.
Which guitar would you choose to play, and why?

I'd take the Strat. I have two already, but both have rosewood fretboards. I'd sure like a maple. Plus, I've already got a '96 Lone Star, so they could be Strat buddies.

    I don't want any of them, but I don't have a Strat.
Oh wait, just to play ?
    I'd take the Tele please.

It's not even a fair fight. It's gonna be the FSR Tele every time.

Tele. If you had a twin then I'd choose the strat or a Marshall jtm I'd go with the epic.

I probably wouldn't buy any of those guitars, the tele is the closest but I need a chunky C profile neck. I like the P-90's on the LP and would need the neck profile and weight to make a judgement there. I have 3 Strats and I don't play any of them, I need to sell one or two of them.

If I had to pick one it would be the Tele.

All of them would sound great through a DR. I'd try the LP with the P90s since I have a Strat and Tele already.

The one that stays in tune best would ultimately be my favorite.

Whatever you want it to be.

No. There is no wrong answer!

I can assure you that they all do, just in different ways.

    I'll take the FSR Tele.....:)

  17. Without playing them, I'd most likely go with the Tele, it can do anything and everything well. Second would be the Strat... Tele's just rule but Strat's are bad either... not a fan of Epi's but it's been a few years since I've picked one up.

The one with more notes. 22 frets is almost a five percent gain. I don't even know why this is a question
