Hagström Viking (singlecoils), tone a fair bit rolled off, into a Harley Benton (aka Joyo) Ultimate Drive (OCD clone) into the computer. Some eq and a touch of reverb.

Oh, and twelves with a wound G. I struggle with full step bends on that one! Just for reference I use .010 on my other electrics, except for one Tele with .009's.

Here is my shot at it. I'm playing my St. Blues Bluesmaster II into a Fender Super Champ X2. I recorded it using reaper with the backing track played through a GDEC 3/30 mic'd and my Champ mic'd using two single condensers.

Appreciate any comments because this is my first time posting music.

Not bad for a first try. I would use less reverb and get the backing up a little more. Did you record one at a time or everything together?

All together, but separate tracks. I'll try it with less reverb. By up a bit do you mean more to the front of the mix? Thanks for the feedback.

Yes it's a little too far back to my ear.

With less reverb the levels might be just fine. Try backing off the reverb first.

I also want to thank jjpish68 for the excellent backing track!

Thanks! I made this at work today (dont tell the boss lady!) so it was my "work rig." Danelectro U2 into a pandora px4d into garage band. I FINALLY figured out how to record in garage band so i didn't really mess with the settings or anything, pretty much their basic electric guitar presets...cheers mate.

I am glad that some many jumped on board and gave this a try. Maybe we should put one up for February.

Any suggestions on type of backing track?
