Hey everyone, not a Tele, but a related cousin, so I'll post it on here for you all. I've been wanting a short scale to go with my Teles and Strats for awhile now, but didn't want a straight up Jaguar. Thought about a Warmoth build, but too expensive. Enter the Jagmaster- alder body, maple neck, AND equipped with my favorite setup of two 'buckers, a 3-way switch, and a single volume and tone knob. So, I found this sucker in a pawn shop for $50, pretty beat up and grungy. I took it all apart, filled all the body dings with super glue, scuff sanded, and refinished with Duplicolor Avignon Blue and clear coat. I love my Ibanez JS1200 neck, so I sanded down the neck of my Jagmaster to match. Now slick as can be. Also painted the headstock to match. Oiled down the rosewood really nice with mineral oil. Got a set of Bootstrap Skookum P90s (nickel silver), chrome knobs and a chrome switch tip. Replace all the pots, switch, and jack with quality parts. Now, this thing totally rocks! Plays like a dream, and the P90s are amazing (just might be a new favorite). All for around $200 total.
