Had to look his name up: James Frank Kellison, USAF.

Sorta looks like a Jaguar XKE crossed with a Dodge Viper!

I don't think I've ever heard of it. Great looking car and very stylish.

Whoa. That car is speaking to me - and it's saying 'I am a speeding ticket waiting to happen.'

It's unbelievable this car was made in 1959

It’s not that unbelievable if you compare it to a Vette of the same year.

And just think... in 1957 ford had a nuclear powered car on the drawing board...

Then by 1962... this was projected...

Wonder how long it took to realize it was a bad idea?

Lotta good stuff was conceived in/by the 1950's.
We really haven't come that far since (despite whatever your smartphone tells ya.)

    Pretty cool.

    Not unbelievable to me, though.

What's unbelievable is this, in 1953/1954: https://www.allpar.com/history/plymouth/1946-1959/turbines.html. The car itself is not so unbelievable to me. What's unbelievable is that we are still relying on variants of the piston engine technology that this was trying to replace over 60 years ago.

There were quite a few cars that were ahead of their time..
    Here's one from 1934.

Is it me or are car designs getting worse?

I get the whole green energy, driverless technology thing... But why does it have to look like that?

There were all kinds of problems then, too, just like now, and I'd probably die without cell service... but if you handed me a time machine, guess where I'd go. And yes, I'd try to bring a guitar back for each of you.
