It’s not that unbelievable if you compare it to a Vette of the same year.
And just think... in 1957 ford had a nuclear powered car on the drawing board...
Then by 1962... this was projected...
Wonder how long it took to realize it was a bad idea?
Lotta good stuff was conceived in/by the 1950's.
We really haven't come that far since (despite whatever your smartphone tells ya.)

I much prefer what Ferrari was doing in 1959.
My MG was built in 1959 and came with disc brakes.
Not unbelievable to me, though.
What's unbelievable is this, in 1953/1954: https://www.allpar.com/history/plymouth/1946-1959/turbines.html. The car itself is not so unbelievable to me. What's unbelievable is that we are still relying on variants of the piston engine technology that this was trying to replace over 60 years ago.
There were quite a few cars that were ahead of their time..
