Life is too short for low-budget ham.

Let's see...everything and nothing. Take your pick.
I do the best job I can of researching whatever I buy. Generally, the answer to my choices is that the middle to lower product will suit my needs.
So this brings us to pinching pennies...yep. I pinch em'.
I don't buy "the best" food but I try to avoid buying imported products or cheap products where the company/industry has a reputation for ripping off farmers and workers.
On my pennies ... cuz Canuckistan doesn't have any!
You guys are penniless? Gosh...I thought is going so good.
I hadn't thought about it, but I don't really pinch pennies. Like the esteemed Mr. Tele I research what I'm buying and get the best price I can, but within reason. I have also learned that buying the cheapest of anything is not necessarily the best way to go. I've been as the old saying goes "penny wise, pound foolish" in my life often enough to realize I had better not buy the cheapest anything unless I want to buy it again the second time.
Hah! Round to the nickel!
I don't penny pinch... I'll do without until I can afford to get whatever it is. I don't live an extravagant life but I feel very fortunate with what I have.

Shoes, coffee and beer.
I had several vacuum cleaners which broke before I bought a Numatic Henry.
I usually look for products where you can see that you pay for robust design and construction instead of looks and options (which eventually can fail).
I don't penny pinch on food. We had too little as kids.
I don't spend it on truffles, King Island steak or venison- but my table always has good quality food and fresh fruit in the fruit bowl.
Only if it's honest wear and tear from years of dining in greasy spoons on the road to nowhere, none of this phony "relic" toilet paper that the Charmin Custom Shop pumps out to make the tofu warriors feel like they have been there and done that. They aren't fooling anyone.
...Single-ply sandpaper that someone's already goosed themselves with?
Amps! (from now on) My old one just doesn't compare with the new one
Coffee, shoes, and if I had to pick a third, meat. I do like decent beer and wine but can drink cheap stuff. Also I always find a way to afford travel, but I economize on hotels etc. once there.
Calvin Klein boxers or commando.... no other option exists.
