but would probably never buy even if you happened to come upon a really good deal and had the money to spare?

I've always really sort of wanted a Gibson SJ-200 Elvis Presley model. I don't know why and I'd probably never buy it if I could. It's partially because I always liked the SJ-200 and I grew up listening to Mom's Elvis records but there is an allure there beyond that.

I can't imagine that I'd play it much and it would mostly live in its case. I'd just pull it out to admire once in a while. "My precious." Maybe show it off to company.

Like I said, I can't imagine ever actually buying one but I still think about it.

    Anybody else?

PRS 594 McCarty. The only way id ever really get one was if I got famous and PRS gifted me one....or won 10 million dollars? Id have to be pretty loaded to consider paying up for one

    I want a Gibson “George Gobel” L5.
It’s a rare, red, groovy, thin body, long scale arch top.
    Lots of dollars.
I also covet a blonde, short headstock Epiphone Sheraton.
    One made between the 1959-1963.
    Lots of dollars, too.
OK, one more, a blonde, mono, non Varitone, ES345, is 1959-1962.
Better start buying lottery tickets again.

One of each please: a Gretsch G6659TFM Players Edition in bourbon stain and a Gibson ES-275 in root beer. Now everyone can put their tele down and start throwing stones at me. :)

Probably a Gibson Byrdland. No use for one but for some some reason they just seem so cool.

Danny Gatton Tele, the whole concept is interesting, but I would probably play a '52 RI more.

I have (or have had at some point) most of the guitars I'm hot for. I guess I'm lucky that I have pretty proletarian taste -- don't wake up in the small hours of the morning dreaming of '58 Les Pauls. There are a couple I wish I had back -- the '67 Epi Riviera is my only real regret -- but the only guitar I really have been curious about for a long time & never owned is a 000 size Martin. Or Collings, I'd settle for a Collings . . .

A Left Handed Gibson 175D - any year would do but a 2020 model would be perfect

I'm fortunate to have a bunch of great guitars. None of them are rare or collectible, but they suit me just fine. I'm always dreaming of finding another vintage Martin dread, I'll know it when I hear it and play it.

If the right deal came along on a Byrdland at the right time, I'd own it. Doesn't even matter what color or anything. As long as it's in decent shape, playable and has the sharp cutaway (is that Venetian or Florentine? I can never remember.), Bing! It's mine!!!

I've really only got one guitar left on my bucket list and that's a '56 reissue Les Paul. a friend has owned 3 of them and they all drove me nuts. a primal rock and roll machine.

I also would love a 59 reissue, but we're basically talking about twice the money and I doubt i'll ever have that kind of money to spend on a guitar.

but if we are talking about lusting after great guitars in general, I want the sunburst les paul Mick Taylor used with the Stones.

Not really no. I have fits of lust that last maybe 5 minutes. OOh a jaguar, ahh an archtop. But at the end of the day they all have 6 strings and go twang.

Always wanted a Byrdland, but may not be for me , I love long scales.
The Gobel L5 sounds very interesting to me.
Guild X500 archtop long scale too.
There are a number of vintage Epi's I would like to have too...
