I agree that white or blonde and maple are the best look. I like playing on RW boards better, however. No fan at all of custom colors, which belong on cars.

that guitar was given to him by John Mclaughlan of weather report , appearently John followed jeff around to several concerts and at each concert would give him a guitar to use , finally Jeff told john to stop doing that to which John replied , "Yeah but do you like it?" , jeff said "Of course I do " then John said "it's yours then" and in jeff's words thats how he got that sexy white strat!

Maple works on everything, only sunburst, black and white works for Strats anything else is superfluous...

OK so full disclosure. My #1 (and not coincidentally my current one strat) is RW and OW

If ever I decide to get another strat, it’s probably gonna be this

But I can’t deny I have a soft spot for these too

It’s close... but maple looks crummy quickly.

I really debated it a lot but Oly white is a sublime canvas regardless.

I was always partial to the white w/ rosewood. But that's just me. My MIA and MIJ.

I’d like my next strat to be faded Sonic Blue. If it’s got a maple neck or a rosewood neck, that’s fine.

I vainly believe this thread is a direct result of my recent NGD Olympic White Hendrix Strat.

    Yes... yes, it is magnificent.

Not my personal favourite, but no argument that it is one of -- if not the -- most iconic.
