Is 432hz just “1/2 step down”?

No. A half step down is a half step down. 'A' Still equals 440hz. The ratios change when you move the Hz.

(PS, I don't subscribe to the 'magic' of 432. Many do. That's fine by me.)

The "Twelveth-root of Two" (ie: [ 2 ]^(1/12) ) is your numerical friend...let your fingers do the walking...on your calculator.

I thought 432hz was the "Van Halen" A?
