I love looking at Instagram pages that are interesting . Here are three of my favorites :

Cheap old houses is great . Someone combs sub $100,000 (often times waaaay less than $100,000 ) historical home listings and posts them on this page. Crazy interesting. All manner of houses, conditions, and locations across the country. Though there always seem to be quite a bit from Peoria

The next one is similar and it’s actually run by the same lady, but this one is historical houses that are very high dollar. Some of these are crazy expensive , especially the Westchester and Greenwich Connecticut ones that always seem to pop up . The craziest things are seeing the listings for gigantic estates with acreage in Ohio that are less than half a million and then a small row house in San Francisco that’s going for $3 million. Location location location.

The last one is our old buddy Deke Dickerson’s page which is about as interesting and cool as he is . Dude takes a lot of pictures and hits a lot of yard sales so I’m always interested in what he puts up.

I don't do much Instagram time.

When I click on the explore things from interests in outdoor sports and things mechanical or MTB show up. The entertaining twist is so many of the pics are fit young people and not exactly or always doing same sports as me. It's cute in a parental sense but might be creepy or cause lurking or stalking for someone with the wrong attitude.

Maybe I'm overthinking it but I'm around young people like at as the parent or organization director and know creeps are out there.

    Yeah...but what ?

Deke has never had to take a restraining order out against me and, he’s a musical artist so he’s definitely using it as a publicity tool as well as showing things that he finds interesting.

As for the houses, both cheap and not so cheap? I’ve never looked at a single one while I was naked.

I just signed up for my local nextdoor service after reading all the crazy things that go on. It might be too crazy for me.I hate being subjected to stupid idiots. Why would I go in search of?

There's a vid making the FB rounds of a faux real estate agency in NY showing listings in IA to NY'ers. Pretty clever. They dont let the interested parties know the listings are in IA. You can imagine the price shocked responses.

Love Dekes books & the person. It might be time to sign up on IG.

My wife watches the Home and Garden show all of the time. I see people pass up pretty decent looking houses to take up residence in rat trap looking places, then drop as much as a hundred and fifty grand into making them livable. Me, I learned long ago, just put that extra one fifty on a house built recently enough to have good insulation, wiring, appliances, heating, cooling, and a roof that's gonna last. It's always best to keep the one paramount thing of importance in buying too! LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION.

I ain’t buying them , I just like looking at them.

    Especially the old empty ones.

And - I have not joined Instagram.

If a page is public, anyone can look at it. It’s public for that reason.

You sure some of you guys know how the Internets work? o_O

It’s not home related, but another fun/nostalgic/slightly depressing page is @retail_death. It’s a lot of photography of dying malls and stores.
