Just cruising this morning and ran across this.

Dumb question time. In the 1st vid is Jerry Lee Lewis, Cuck, Keef, and some guy in a hat that looks like maybe SRV? Chuck and hat aren't playing their usual tools as is Mr. Richards has a Tele.
2nd vid is Lil Richard, but in the back is Steve Cropper who turns in a good performance.
Last vid shows Chuck, The Boss and company doing Johnny B Good.
    Thanks for the memories Sir.

I think that the guy in the hat is Esteban...no, seriously, it's Neil Young...no, it's SRV.

Guy in the hat is dressed like SRV, but doesn't act like him or have SRV's body language. Neil Young is a plausible guess, but even still the hat guy in the video seems overly animated for Neil Young.

It always amazes me what a hot mess it becomes when you get so many classic icons onstage. It never sounds good, IMO.

Threw me off. I thought it was a reference to Len Barry of the Dovells that had the million record hit with "Bristol Stomp".

You're from PA, so naturally you would. I thought it was in reference to Gene Barry (Bat Masterson and Burke's Law), except he passed nearly ten years ago.

It's disappointing that Chuck Berry will be remembered primarily for Johnny B Goode, when he had so many other great, and better songs. Of course that's just my opinion and preference.

Mr. Barry. Only a few days, and already fading from memory... Sorry, Chet. Urk, Chuck (dammit)

Chuck Berry was one of my inspirations to pick up the guitar.

His recent death is extremely ironic in my case though.

He has been the butt of every joke at work for around 2 weeks now.

Unfortunately my idea of Chuck got ruined by a friend via email roughly 3 weeks ago.

Sadly Chuck was caught hiding cameras in public restrooms...

Not to mention the absolutely horrific sex tape of his that was seized by the authorities in the late 80s after a drug raid on his house.

In this video he is seen urinating and farting on women...

Needless to say it ruined my view of him and then he goes and dies...

    Sad stuff really.

It is sad. But, I assure you there probably isn't anyone we may look up to who wouldn't disappoint us if we knew all the details of their life, including whatever bizarre sexual escapades they indulge in.

You can still think the highest of him as a writer, guitarist and trailblazing icon.

Don't worry I will. The man still inspired me after all.

I even look up to Rick James and we all are aware of at least some of his proclivities.
