    Doesn’t that have a sitar/electric sitar solo ?

I watched that 78/79 footage of those guys cutting a Nick Lowe and Dave Edmunds record simultaneously and remembered how much I loved all that stuff.

The LIVE version . Jimmy Dewar !

I salute your great taste my friend !

A bluegrass tune called "Bury Me Beneath the Willows". It's only three chords but memorizing the lyrics and coming up with a couple of interesting breaks is always a challenge for me.

Kinda cheesy....but the band I've started playing with again "kinda" does Hotel California....with a single guitar. Now that I'm back, I do the 12-string bits with my Tele and Mosaic 12-String Emulator. The other guitarist isn't any good at sitting down and working out the harmony guitar parts, so I'm gonna have to just try and "fill" around what he plays when we get together for practice. I'd never sat down and worked any of the song out before. But even still, I help hold things together with solid rhythm playing......GEEZ!, these guys can be frustrating!

Arrangements are often the hardest thing for me to remember....but I'm getting better at it!

I played briefly in a band with a true pro of many years. You could run through a song once, then
briefly talk about the arrangement, for example Intro-A-B-A-B-bridge-B-B-outro, and he would
lock it into his brain immediately and that was it-- he was good to go. I was duly impressed and have tried
    to emulate him ever since.

No, not that one. The one I learned is by some band called Hang The Moon or something.

Oh, and I also learned 'Martha My Dear' for a Beatles show I'm doing on Sunday, so there's that.

Oh, geeze, I've barely played in the last two weeks - just a few riffs here and there. Job #2 needed a lot of work, my mother needed help, and I did our federal taxes this weekend. The good news is I only owed $46!

Nothing more fun than playing My Sharona, trickier than you think at first to get it all right. Solid guitar bits for a pretty much one hit wonder band....

This might help Phil kills it! End of Thinline review. With the Drills.

I'm still trying to figure out Louie Louie. (All silliness aside, Nick Lowe is top shelf.)
