I'd love to play Springsteen's Esquire/Telecaster/mongrel. The only other guitar that comes to mind is whatever Todd Rundgren used on Bat Out Of Hell - I'm not even sure what it is. Some sources say it was a strat, others say a BC Rich Mockingbird. Whatever it was, I'd love to play it.

I've played the Clarence White D-28.Tony Rice handed it to me backstage at a DGQ show when we were talking about Martin guitars. It was as nice as you'd think.

    As for my top three...
    Clapton's Fool SG
    Jerry's Alligator Strat
    Jimmy Page's #1 Les Paul.

But I'd bet anything that they wouldn't sound that special in my hands, they are just the instruments, not the talent.

I gotta say the Peter Green Les Paul too...just because.

And it would be cool to play Old Man on Neil's D-45.

I got to play a ES-330 that was billed as one of Chuck Berry's guitars. It was at a guitar show about 30 years ago. It was just sitting on a stand, looking lonely. So I picked it up. The guy running the booth watched me but continued his conversion he was having so I started playing Johnny B Goode. He smiled!

Got to play Springsteen's. Very cool. Also got to play Steve Morse's old tele/strat back in the day. Amazed out how incredibly low the action was.
