If "They" could drop you off in a Century/Decade and leave you forever, which would it be?

We were driving back this afternoon from Austin, it was one of those cool sunny days. I put the music on random, and it hit a bunch of great 70's songs, those perfect take a long drive songs. And it reminded me how easy going those days were, and how seemingly care free it was.
Just drop me back off there, and leave me in that Wonderful time zone:) The first song that popped up was this, and from there, I forgot the drive home till we hit the driveway!

    So 70's,,

Leave me in the next century. I want to see what happened to all my guitars.

I wouldn't want to live in any time other than now. We live in the most amazing time in the history of mankind... the opportunities we have, the freedoms we have, access to knowledge, travel, quality of life, food choices, medical care, value of human life.... I could go on. We live better than most kings did just a few hundred years ago. I know it's kind of romantic thinking about living in the good old days but things weren't as good as we might like to think.

1784 would be my choice. Freedom to do as you choose and earn what you deserve. I want nothing more

Drop me back when they had to fight us for taxes and land etc.
I'll take my acoustic back with me and become a legend playing the covers I know claiming them as my own. Any mistakes will also go unnoticed.:)

Who’d really want to go back?

Lose half your kids to diseases and have your teeth pulled out by the local blacksmith without anaesthetic, then being kicked off your land by a feudal gang with more guns or edged weapons before dying in your 20’s or 30’s of dystentry in a pool of your own faeces.

    No thanks.

I’ll take universal healthcare, personal and public transport, pensions and a reasonably vibrant, diverse economy with work for anyone prepared to educate and better themselves.

Def. be cool to be able to take a peek to different ages. Not sure I’d fit in or even want to though. Our near future looks bleak, greedy and selfish and the past was more dangerous and limiting by almost every measure.

    :)

It would be cool to catch Hendrix at one his early London gigs though.

Albert Hall ideally.. the album of the concert changed and recentred my life as a confused young teen.

    No thanks, I wouldn’t change a thing.
