Oh man... I am so cranky right now. Reminds me of how they ended "Lost" after the five years I spent loyally watching only THIS time I spent eight years.

I would say they phoned in the ending but if they did that, it was with two tin cans and some string. How do you wrap up a story like this in an hour and 25 minutes?

So Jon stabs the Queen in the heart and he gets to live while the Unsullied and the Dothraki are gathered in the courtyard and already amped up? Really? So the Worm is just going to let them pick the new king and it's Jon's brother and he's okay with that? Really?

Thanks a lot for the lame ending.

The plot points made sense, but the whole thing was rushed. If the show had taken the time to flesh out the characters and add some motivation, it would have been a lot better.

Is the whole thing over or just this series? I want to watch from the beginning but might wait until every season/episode is available before I start.

I agree. I felt like they were trying to get this over with as quickly as possible so they could get home and play Xbox.

I'm pretty sure this is it. They may be setting it up for spinoffs.

Cool, I don't mind missing or waiting for any spinoffs. I'd just like to watch every season with no interruptions/ waiting.

The biggest problem with this season is the lack of good writing. I can’t fathom how the directors filmed this season without any concrete writing, let alone do it in six episodes.

I agree with the said premises that it felt rushed..

Almost anti-climatic for me, considering how the first seven seasons were made well.

I know, right?! I mean, I’ve written so many hit series that I could have done it WAY better ...

The writers books are all 800 pages. Yikes.
I did not follow this but, folks where I work did.
They were yakking last week about the good queen
burning the villagers, so she would be next to go.
Sounds like drama..glad I did not get on board.
Besides, I don't buy hbo stuff

I’ve watched up through Season 7 on DVD. I just went ahead and opened this thread despite the warning in the title. Oh yes I did.

Reading this reminds of another show with several great seasons that gets all weird in its last one: “Scrubs.”

Thinking about any sort of comparison between “GoT” and “Scrubs”’ is kinda surreal.

    Um, I liked it.
    A fitting end.

The iron throne meltdown, "...pile of smoking leather,
I nailed a retread to my feet and prayed for better weather...."

Arya sailing away "...May the four winds blow you safely home,
    Roll away, the dew...."
