Last night I found a roach in the kitchen sink. I slammed him with a newspaper and he was badly injured. I then threw him outside the door and closed the door shut.

I kind of feel bad for being violent. That insect probably didn’t know he was doing anything wrong. And in reality he did nothing wrong and made me turn violent.

Easy to find out, did the cockroach have a label saying it might contain cancer suspect agents?

I know how you feel... I've questioned my response to wasp nests in the house and ants getting in, knowing I'm killing hundreds, if not thousands, of creatures. I hate it!

Seriously, where there’s one, there’s a hundred. Call the exterminator.

That should open up a whole raft of other questions, such as, "why was he there in the first place"

I was sitting on a johnny in Florida when I was on vacation, and this cockroach came towards me. He didn’t feel a thing.

the fact that you even stopped to think about it puts you one step forward towards understanding.

Bugs can be annoying and very creepy; that is why they are such a challenge, and why our response can be so revealing of our nature, our development, and of our understanding.

Any time you choose life - and take just a bit of time and trouble to allow life and coexistence - you have taken a step forward. Your reaction was completely normal in this case. Your reflection afterwards is beautiful.

Sometimes you just smash the darn thing in your home because the best it has to offer if illness or disease.

this is also a possible option. Sometimes you may feel that this is the best thing to do. Sometimes you can make a choice, and the choice does not always call for the death of something.

I believe PETA wouldn’t mind cockcroaches being “physically assaulted” like how you demonstrated.
