I've got relatives just down the road, they refer to it as Llanfair or Llanfair PG and I've been a few times. I think the Volvo dealership deserve an A for effort:
Tennessee has Goosepimple Junction
0:07 mark - rhymes with cocaine… don't think so...
They abandoned the last leg of the trip to Wedding, after having spent a night in F*cking...
If a Police officer asks you where you're heading to and that's your answer, you're probably in for a DUI test. lol
The Cockermouth Brewery does a really good Ale called 'Cumberland Cream' IIRC.
There's also a hamlet called 'Swallow' that I found on a road map one time.
When / if I grow up, I think I want to be an explorer - sounds like they know how to have a good time.
If you want names of Texas cities known elsewhere then note that Texas also has Cleveland, Pittsburg, San Francisco, Little Chicago, Salem, Boston, Columbus, Los Angeles, Portland, Tacoma, Fort Saint Louis, Omaha, Old Milwaukee East Colonia, Montana Vista, and Moscow.
It is also interesting that there is Colorado (Bastrop County), Colorado City (Mitchell County), and Colorado County, Texas, all three are different locations in the state.
Also, I didn't see anyone mention Wink Texas, Roy Orbison's hometown.
Spokane isn't too tough. Issaquah and Puyallup throw people for a loop.

Thanks for that! He's one of my idols!
Do you figure they sell str*p-on parts?
No. Only a Canuck would think like that!
I might be from Raincouver, but I'm Canadian, not a Canuck! That's like calling you a ______?
Whoops, I thought Canuck was nation-wide. My oversight.
Let me rephrase that, only a Raincouverian would think like that.
(Apologies for the short hijack of thread)
I love Roy myself. In fact I have a band that does a few gigs a year performing Roy Orbison songs. It includes two guitars, upright bass, violin, keyboard drums and a couple of backup singers. It is a blast to do and the audience loves it.
No need to apologize, as my analogy was inappropriate...you're right it is, but as a longtime Oiler fan, I dislike the local Canucks NHL team so much, I don't care to be associated with the word...'sides, there's no call to drag my fellow countrymen into this...only I would think like that
I just googled Wet Beaver Creek again, and this was in the results:
I almost fell off my chair!
That's where my moms family is from, 3 generations of my family lived in Hooker, OK all the way back to the 1850s.
If you go there and visit the Hooker Cemetery, and see any of the Reynolds names, that's my kin- Great Grandfather, Great-Great Grandfather, Great Uncle.......
Also just a side note, there are about 1,800 people living in Hooker, Oklahoma, and there are 2,600 grave sites in the Hooker Cemetery. So there are more dead Hookers than there are live hookers!
