I have a J Bass with a small Tele-ish body and I'm in the process of building a DC Tele.
I have to add one more Telecaster... a new Tele Pro in Crimson Transparent. Elderly's had to order one for me, hopefully it will get here next week.
So that will be 5 Teles for me.
I really need to get a nice family photo (as well as NGD pics) soon.
1 SX, 2 jay Turner, and 1 Xaviere.
7, one out on loan. Sheer simplicity of design
Can't think of a reason to have more than one even though I do.
I'm back down to one, my avatar guitar.
One with 9s for country madness like pedal steel and behind the nut bends.
One with 10s for that classic tele sound and feel
One with flats for your more old school sound etc.
The most I had was two, and I currently have two. Im trying to sell/trade my strat to get another telecaster. probably a cheap modding platform like a used Squier Standard or Classic Vibe if budget opens up. But I really want a rosewood fretboard tele to get a 60's modding platform.
Traded one off this weekend, so down to two. Early 90's MIM that I modded quite a bit. Poor thing was sitting there unused for months. Got a PRS SE Custom 24 in return.
I'm down to one now.
I don't know when I voted but I had two at the time.
Have since Esquire'd one and added one, 60s Baja CAR. Couldn't pass up a decent deal on it. Great pups, nice neck.
Those are a lovely bunch! You sir, have all my dream tele's!
Three. One is a Mexican with a bender on it. It's on loan to my nephew in Nashville. I actually got to see him play it at the Opry. At the Ryman no less.
One is a G&L that I gave to my son. Lastly, a 60's Baja that I use for probably 90% of my gigs
I just got my 4th.... just wish they were a little more different from each other.
Just the one right now, it does everything I need it to and looks good while doing it. I havent had any need for another in a while!
CAR and Rosewood really goes well!
Thank you! Though I think it's a metallic burgundy, a bit darker than CAR. I love rosewood necks with vibrant color bodies
1. Fender American Deluxe Ash
It went through a lot of changes but it's now back to almost original with the SCN noiseless. S1 is not wired properly and the tone control is not wired at all because I don't use it.
2. Fender American Elite
Got DiMarzio Chopper and Area T pickups.
3. Fender CS 52 Tele
All original, of course
4. Ibanez FRsomething Iron Label
Tele-ish shape EMG loaded metal machine
5. Suhr Modern Satin T
The end game
I have 4 Fender Telecasters, 1 custom Tele style, and a Godin Acousticaster that looks like a Tele:
- 1980's American Standard in Lake Placid Blue with TBX control
- 2010 MIM FSR Copperburst - 1 of 300 made for Guitar Center - reverse control plate, brass
- 2010 MIM FSR Black Paisley
- MIM 60th Anniversary Big Block Telecaster
- Canadian Breed #003 double bound sasafrass body in blue burst, flamed AND birdseye maple neck. (My avatar)
Why? Because I LOVE Teles! I play in a band in my spare time and gig money feeds my G.A.S.
