Well, I had a good friend talk me into selling him one of mine, so now I am down to just two, and I have learned that two is not enough. I think Mr. Einstein is still right.

Just one until it wears out then you've earned a new one.

I need two. A standard Tele (avatar) with SD pups and a Tele Deluxe with Mojo Tone 72 Clone Wide Range Pups.

Y’all have it wrong. I like the thicker fifties neck. So an AVRI 56, a Clapton. Wait I am doing Stratocasters but I have two Telecasters.

Well the Telecaster in the middle is that one very sweet guitar. That finding another is the one on the left.

But let’s say y’all want to sound like the Allman Brothers or Marshall Tucker. Guess which one will do that? Yes, it has 57 Humbuckers.

I think three. That’s one more than current situation. ’52 AVRI or maybe CS. But there are at least one Gretsch on top of the queue.

Well...right now I have three Esquires and two Teles...and an ASAT...and two more Teles in the works...so at least eight!

Esquire 1: '50's style (ash/maple), tan, white guard with Eldred mod
Esquire 2: '50's style (ash/maple), green, white guard with Eldred mod (Cuprinol finish – Francis Rossi inspired)
Esquire 3: '50's style (pine/maple), black, heavily modded with Kahler and bender unit, steel poled pickup (like a P90, but Tele shaped)

Tele 1: 2003 Aerodyne (basswood/rosewood), black, U.S. market model (I'm the original owner)
    Tele 2: AV '58 (ash/maple), 2TSB
"Tele" 3: ASAT Classic Nitro (ash/maple), clear orange

Under construction 1: '63 mahogany Tele repro (mahogany/rosewood), clear red
    Under construction 2: Tele-Gib (alder/ebony), dark green

All have white guards, and all but three (two of which are under construction) have maple boards.

I would like to add an AV '52 that I refin in a custom color. I am leaning toward Olympic White. And I would like to add an AV '64 in blonde, and a double bound black '50's style Custom, perhaps with a Bigsby.

    I have a '52 AVRI and a Japanese '62 Custom Tele w/ Bigsby.

Now they've brought out a Tele with a humbucker in the neck.....OK one more!

I've got 2 - both I built and based on the 72 series Custom, Deluxe, and Thinline. I leave one for open tuning and slide (usually open G) and one in standard. I'm tempted to build or buy another for open E....

    Still just one.
My avatar critter seems to be the only Tele for me.
    I recently bought a Schecter/ESP part-o-caster.
I could not bond with the dual blade pickups (manufacturer unknown).
    I also bought a Baja.
Again, it was the pickups I didn’t like.
I caught and released them both.
I traded them in on an 1990 SG.
    So far, so good.

Love your blog with the pix of all the glorious gear! I have a 2002 Shell Pink from the '69 RI Thinline collection. Unplayed but with the little crack in the finish by the neck. Any idea what that might be worth? I've had it for 10 years and it is completely stock. Thanks in advance!

BTW...how did you get your collection of 2002 '69 RI Thinlines?? Most awesome...!
