I'm down to three electrics, three acoustics and a bass.

My MIM BSB FSR fills the tele bill for me. :)

Can't really imagine a second one, but these kinds of threads can do some damage to my imagination.

I have 3 - American Elite, MIM FSR Ash, and AVRI '52. Building another out of 1 piece chambered mahogany body w/a flame maple cap - and trying to decide between the 52 vintage Fender p'ups, or SD Antiquity w/a neck humbucker.

I've recently noticed a few Tele pics w/the big mailbox #s on the pickguard. What's that all about?

    Right now? Zero.

    Do I want one? Yes.

What flavor? I'm thinking natural thinline body with a maple neck & fretboard. Maybe a humbucker and a single-coil. (I played the solid version of this guitar through most of the 70s.) Altho I admit I "like" just about every picture of every Tele posted on TDPRI. Cause Teles are possessed of more flat out coolness than most objects in the known universe.

Is this practical? Something that I can justify in any rational, even music project type way? No. Not at all. I've got plenty of guitars, other instruments. I just want a Tele.

I don’t know why anyone else does it. I’m a sports fan and I liked the idea of personalizing my guitars by giving them numbers.
First I was going to give them the numbers of my favorite players as a kid, but then I decided to put the year they were made on them.
One of my guitars has a new neck, so I put the year the body was made on it.

Just 1, "Andy." A CVC with 50's Baja neck, Wilkinson compensated bridge, Cavalier Huge/Nashville Twin Lion bridge pickup Has had a revolving door of neck pickups.

I just got a Dimarzio Bluesbucker that I plan on putting in the neck position to give that a go. If I don't like it, I am giving up and going esquire.

I also have a partsquire I am building for my son with the neck from the CVC, a black GFS XGP body, Righteous Sound Weston bridge pickup, and cool pickguard made from a limited edition blue swirl vinyl LP that has a song with my son's name on it. :)

I do have a cheap, beat-up paulownia body I picked up cheap and will probably do something with. I am definitely going to make a tele or esquire for my daughter so I might refinish it and use it for her our get her something better.

Two partscasters (well, one is all Fender parts so I guess it's "real"): one Tele with a 62 RI body and a Baja neck and CS pickups (all bought used off FleaBay). Second, a Squier Telecaster Custom w/Tonerider PAF's and a 80's Fender Bullet neck.

It depends how you define Tele, If you go by body shape, I have three:

My custom full hollow that is show in my avatar (really the only one I play anymore)
    A 50th anniversary Fender Diamond Tele (2006)
My no name Tele copy that I upgraded with Fender pickups and a new switch
