At least a fortnight......
I feel that the Telecaster is the electric guitar for me but I really like playing acoustic.
Electric is a blast but it's not as good by yourself. Since I'm an A-hole that no one wants to jam with, I play acoustic a lot.
I don't have a clear favorite, so I always wind up imagining the house is on fire, and I can only grab one. But then I say "why can't I grab two, I have two hands..." And so I hesitate. Plenty long enough to burn to death, I'm sure of it.
They'll find me in the rubble, holding my 335, and a Martin.
Teles are an easy grab. The new ES-275 is incredibly comfy to play... The T-Armonds sound amazing in the Gretsch.... and so it goes, round and round.
Next to a perfectly functional Tele, with a nice tint on the maple and realistically relic'd finish.
My last two gigs were cancelled due to funky weather, so my Tele touching got delayed.
I admit I rarely play it at home, it’s more of a (gigging) workhorse.
It will go to my gig tonight with the Audrey Malone Band, but as a “spare tire”.
I mostly play my Gretsch with Audrey.
I haven’t touched mynTele since I restrung it four days ago.
I touched it to move it from a wall hanger to a case, so I could put a new build-in-progress in its place. Had to play it for a bit, just to not feel guilty, but I think I'm more humbucker friendly, and reach for the Sheraton most days. The tele would probably come with me in a fire tho.. as the Sheraton is pretty easily replaceable.
Had to put down 'Whitey' to make this post.....
A couple of hours, it's currently sitting on the couch beside me while I type this and watch the tennis.
Caroline Wozniaki is as hot as
Nice collection. Who is next to Whitey?
I played mine for a few minutes before jumping in the car.
.... about 7 hours. It has been about 2 min since I touched my Gibson LP Jr. .... an hour since I touched my ES335 12 string etc.
Thankyou, L&D. The rifle or the guitar? The rifle is a deactivated .303 (BSA 1914), bought to honour my g-grandfather, a Coldstream Guardsman cleaned up at Ypres in Nov 1914; the tele is my latest build, a ripper roasted alder Blackguard....
Years since I've touched my only official Tele...MIJ '69 Thinline (modded with a SD 59 in the neck and a Barden in the bridge...as well as a Fender "vintage" six barrel bridge). It's been in storage at my parents in NY for almost a decade.
However, I have an ASAT with their fat neck (1 3/4" at the nut) that I played a few months ago. I also have a Godin Session Custom that I played four days ago. The ASAT is clearly closer to the real deal, but the Session Custom is decidedly Tele-sque...does that count?
I play mine every day. Before I go to work and I always look at YouTube in the evening for a lesson. I've a lot of interesting guitars, but I come back to the Tele for daily practice.
This is another euphemism thread. All posts here are in code.
8 days, but not to worry. It’s in the rotation. Actually moved it to the living room last night, so today might be the day.
