Stumbled across these on Amazon. The amps intially looked lunchbox sized, but they're actually much smaller. I thought maybe these were tubes, but they're SS, and after seeing the relative size, then that makes sense. The description says these are class A/B amps, and they put out 5 watts of power. One model is supposed to sound like a Marshall plexi and the other like a Vox AC30. This company already has micro pedals, so they're really downsizing the typical rig. If you show up with one of these, the ladies will be asking, "Is that an amp in your hand, or are you just happy to see me?"

Just found a demo of the Purple Wind. That's not too bad of a Marshall emulation.

This British Invasion demo doesn't sound quite as good, but it might that the guitar isn't too good.

ETA: Found a better demo of the BI model. The guitarist actually uses a Tele in part of the demo:

I thought 'Purple Wind' was when you ate too much beetroot and Aubergine (egg plant).

I hear you. With these Chinese-made products, who knows where they get their marketing inspiration.

I'm actually a little shocked at how good the demo sounds. I'm kind of curious if these utitlize the same electronics as the Joyo amp-emulating pedals. It's a cool idea to put these in a tiny little amp head.

I thought it was "hoe tone" until I saw in one of the vids it was "hot one".

If it was "ho tone" then it could be a hot one at the same time.

Wow, they both sound great. I wonder how what else is going on in the chain, though. Are we hearing a miced cab, or a speaker simulator direct to the computer? How loud could and clean would these be through a 12" cab? I might just have to get one and find out!

I love my Orange Micro Terror, but I would love to get my rig even smaller.

Joe, how much does it weigh?

Amazon says they weigh 3 pounds. Sounds about right, although the amazon details can be inaccurate. I don't own one and haven't seem one in person anywhere. Just saw it listed as a related product while browsing for other things. Thought it looked kind of like a Micro Terror, but was surprised to see that it's even smaller. I wish I could give you more information about the demos. Sounds like dmeeg05 might be able to give more insight.

Amazon lists it for $119. Seems kind of high, but there are plenty of dirt pedals and small amps that are in that range. Maybe you pay for the "cute" factor??

Seems even more in the UK. A quick google reveals sites selling at £129.99. £30 more than the Micro Terror!

If it does weigh 3lbs, that's twice what the Micro Terror weights, even if it is smaller.

    How's the clean headroom?

I owned a Zvex Nano (a TUBE micro amp) for a little while... it was great. Kind of a novelty, I didn't see a reason to keep it, but it was cute and sounded really good...
