Help identifying a vintage strap

    Hi there,

    I have this vintage strap in excellent condition.

    Looks like a '54 Fender strap.

    Any connoiseur to confirm (or not)?

    The buckle/keeper looks correct, and I don't think a '54 strap had the padding on the shoulder piece ... So yes, could be legit.

    FWIW, I have an original 58 Fender strap, and the buckle is different and the strap parts (not the center pad) are narrower. No idea about a 1954.

    I think the '58 straps were more like the vintage ones that Fender makes today (I have one of those myself). I'm (almost) certain the '54 ones were wider and with a buckle like the OP's.
