    Hi gang,

Long time reader, new member. I've tended to stick around TGP for the last year or so, but have been reading lots of TDPRI threads over the same time. The kicker was the "2017 George Harrison Rosewood Telecaster Club". I just had to join and show off my pretties :D.

This might sound like heresy here, but I'm mostly a Gibson man, with the exception of Telecasters and Fender Basses! (and amps of course!). You'll find no strat love with me, but oh man I do love Tele's.

I currently own 3 Telecasters, though 2 of the same model. 2x 2017 George Harrison Rosewood Telecaster, and 1x 2016 AM Standard Telecaster with Rosewood Neck & Walnut Stain. Yes, I have a thing for Rosewood... but my next Tele will either be a Deluxe type, or a '52 AVRI.

Anyhoo, I'm in love with guitars.. all things guitar really though I mainly stick with Gibson & Fender. Looking forward to contributing more here on the forum :)

Very nice :D Nothing wrong with Rain'couver.. or HongCouver depending on who you ask! I travel there often for work and love it. Was born and raised in Halifax myself, but Edmonton has been home for the past 12 years and I'm here for good. Love it here!

I’ve never been to the Maritimes & would love to visit, especially this time of year! When I was a kid, my uncle’s protege, (planetarium director) boarded at our place...he was from Halifax. Recalling him sketching a Mercury Cougar, from a magazine, he inspired me to become an artist

    Hey, Welcome, from South Jersey!
I flew into Edmonton once, about 10 years ago, then drove 5 hours north to High Prairie for a week long goose hunt.
I'm a big fan of that part of the world.

Wow very cool! That whole area along the Peace River is just gorgeous. Very underrated and a bit of a low profile gem for us Albertans. I've only had the opportunity to get up there recently. Most of the time when I hear someone flew up to Edmonton, it usually follows with "we drove 5 hours to Jasper", which I whole heartedly love and recommend anyone to do.

    Thanks for the welcome!

The maritimes definitely are beautiful during the fall. Cool story! It's true that Atlantic Canada is a rough place economically (hence we all move west), but one thing they definitely have going for them in Halifax that I truly do miss, is the arts. Such a strong and vibrant arts scene. I've benefitted greatly from growing up there where it is embraced so much. Now to inject some of that spirit into Edmonton! (Which admittedly, is getting better and better every year).

Thanks...I have friends who’re originally from New Brunswick, Nova Scotia & Newfoundland.

Sounds like my recent Oilers, (skipping the last 2 games:confused:)

Nice! What'd you think of it? 20 years ago it would've been a LOT different than it is now. When I came here 12 years ago I described it as a beige concrete ghost town... It's certainly improved a ton since then! I love it now.

    I love Edmonton!
I was a member of a touring bar and, and our agent, Graffitti, was in Edmonton.
We (The Outriders) spent our down time there.
    I loved Whyte Ave.
I'd go to the guitar shops and Blues on Whyte, stay at the Old Strathcona.
    This was between 1990-1996.
    Great memories!

Blues on Whyte, Avenue Guitars, Lillos Music, Gordon Price Music, Mothers Music, Dadeo Diner, Warp One Comics...memories. I possibly saw you at a Saturday afternoon blues jam, during the summer, while visiting?

    You may have!
I didn't participate in the Saturday afternoon jams, but I enjoyed "auditing" them.
    Lots of great players!
I really liked the Ray Lemelin Blues Band.
I don't know if I spelled his name right.
He played a black Strat in a SF Super.
He left the tremelo on, slow, all the time.
    Great player, great band!
