Hey everyone just wanted to introduce myself. I'm new to the world of Fender/Telecasters, but not to guitar playing. I used to play ESP/PRS/Gibsons and played newer metal stuff but pretty much stopped playing about 10 years ago after leaving a couple bands I was in.

Got the itch to start playing again and knew I needed new gear that better fit my current musical tastes and to give myself a motivational spark to play more. I grew up listening to classic rock and wanted to start primarily playing that. I've listened to (some, think 90's and older) country for awhile and want to play a bit of that as well, but this will require the most effort with the different techniques. I also recently started getting into the blues, à la Muddy Waters, the 3 Kings (Albert, Eddie, BB), and Howlin' Wolf, and have been playing that.

To me, a telecaster was the guitar that was versatile enough to cover these genres and I was drawn to the historical appeal of it. I also felt like a valve amp would be the best compliment to the sound and style I was looking for and settled again on Fender. I've never been a fan of blackfaces, but love the sound, look and history of Fender tweed amps. I'm a minimalist and not a pedal guy (I prefer to only use a Crybaby, at most), so having an amp with spring reverb and a drive channel, especially one with a boosted drive and foot switch, was ideal, although I would have been happy with a single channel and rolling off to clean up.

I appreciate traditional styling with a modern twist, and settled on the Player's Series Telecaster and the HRD4. I couldn't be happier with my rig and am looking forward to many more years of playing to come.

I know how you guys appreciate geetar pron so here ya go...

Hi friend. Much appreciated. This is all I think I have readily available. This was my last guitar, an ESP M-1 NTB (neck through body) with an active EMG 81 pickup. It's for sale BTW if anyone is interested... https://rvrb.io/2009-m-1-ntb-mvdw7i
