1st Time ever.
A sports holy grail.
A NY sports reporter jokingly added to a discussion of office brackets the one safe bet was that a #16 would never beat a #1.
My daughter graduated UMBC in 2014. Amazing kids attend there. Some of the brightest, not really known for being sports Titans.
Happy for them and hope they go a couple more rounds
Wow, didn’t just beat em, spanked em... I missed it. I tend to start paying close attention the second week, except for the teams I care about. My two teams are both Wildcats. Arizona, (grew up in Tucson and they were the only game in town) and Villanova (lived near Philly for past 25 years - I’d be for Temple or Penn or St. Joes too, if they were any good). So Nova’s my one team standing at this point...
Speak English much
Poor VIRGINIA,forever etched in ncaa history
When Penn was up by 10 over Kansas, I was starting to worry about the 16 vs 1 upset thing (just a little), but I really didn’t think we’d see it happen this year. Congrats to UMBC.
‘‘Twas a domination, just the reverse of what I expected. Wasn’t even gonna pay attention to it, but sure did! Props to a team I’d never even heard of.
As a UVa fan, I am devasated by this loss. However, UMBC just totally kicked UVa's collective asses. No two ways about it. Congrats to UMBC.
That’s why the ncaa tourney used to be my favorite sporting event. Love that kind of upset!
Man! Two huge upsets in two days, and I got to watch both of them. This is probably already my favorite NCAA Basketball Tournament ever. Go 'dogs!*
*Underdogs of course
eagles won the super bowl..anything is possible now!
Must have been listening to the Eagles.
I thought this thread was from a farmer commenting on the effect of a very cold winter and uva radiations on seeds and the effect that has on pigs who eat those seeds making them high
I said I was going to get another guitar and my spouse said, “when pigs fly”. Does this mean I get to go shopping?
