That is a nice looking guitar!

^^^^This, however, look like someone tried to dry a telecaster in the oven and it started warping and melting! It's literally hard to look at.

Hohner Marlin. Very pointy! (and very red...)

And there will soon be a USA Select Charvel "Style 2 HH"; I'm not sure when they will actually be released but I think they were shown at the NAMM show last week. Sorry; they only have a photo of the full series, but the Tele-style is in the middle:

The first one is inspired by the builder of the second one, an Ormsby out of Australia.

He did a copper top, I think his is a veneer, but I'm not positive.
I've done some veneering and vacuum pressing so I thought I'd give it a whirl.
Mine is just a thin copper veneer over a basswood body.

The High Alert yellow is a little much, but I thought if I'm going metal tele, this is metal butterscotch blonde.

Charvel made the same Tele a few years back. I got one in maybe 05 or so. They discontinued it but now it's back. The older ones were made in the Fender Custom Shop, with an SD JB in bridge and SD Jazz or '59, can't remember which, in the neck. I don't know about this generation.

I really like those San Dimas Telecasters. I picked up a used one a few months back.

To bad the price has almost doubled on the new USA Select Charvels coming out.

I might put mine up for sale. It's a case queen.

I always figured the Blacktop telecasters would make the perfect metal axe.

I just use single coils and adjust everything else to get the sound I want.

Oh my gosh, the second 2009 zombie thread I've seen today. That said, I like this thread and I have a Tradition Tele with two HB that rocks hard if you want.

I picked up a NOS Telecaster HMT from a music store in Ohio. Saw it on Ebay. Original Fender Lace Pickup; Dual Coil Humbucker DiMarzio with a switch to go single or double coil and original Floyd Rose setup. Has a weird headstock but the neck tapers and is super fast. Very light and very LOUD--can play soft too. Amazing sound, made in Japan. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

As a kid I look lessons, and one of the other kids had a shred modded tele. I wish I knew more about it then, so I'd have more to tell you.

From my recollection it was a 60s or 70s Fender he inherited from his uncle who did the modding (presumably in the late 70s-80). Maple fretboard was heavily scalloped, full floyd rose with locking nut. I can't remember what was in it for pickups. The 12 year old EVH fan that I was loved it. I'd be appalled these days

Anyone got a Trussart Steelcaster? Nice piece of metal Tele there!
