Taboo subject here... Anything related to possible fake Fenders is a no-no.

    Come on, guys, he's new.

No. Anything that could be used to produce fake Fenders is illegal and unethical, and we don't condone it around here.

But, welcome to the forum and stick around. You'll find out more about guitars than you thought there was to know.

    No insult intended:

You could find extra work hours or maybe a second job and buy a real Fender rather than being what most would consider a "poser".

Is it for a restoration? I actually have a vintage telecaster that had to have a decal replaced. It does happen

The OP never said he wanted to make his copy look better did he?

Hey, just havin' some fun with you, nothing personal.;) Welcome to the forum!

As pointed out, sort of a taboo subject here. If you put a Fender logo on a partscaster it doesn't make it a Fender. Like was brought up, is it a restoration? That might be different and you may need to go through Fender.

Another problem if you sell that partscaster to someone, even if it's known to them that it's a partscaster. What if they turn around and try to sell it as a true Fender. It's not really a Fender and someone's possibly going to get ripped off.

There's a good thread going on now in "Bad Dog" about Kelton Swade being sued by Fender. He was making "Fenders" on a pretty high profile basis to very well known individuals. Some good info on why NOT to put a Fender logo on your partscaster.

Enjoy the forum, I have, alot of good people and info here. Have fun!
