Instruments are spread around the house , there is one room that is primarily for music...
Your rug has eyes!
Here is my music room. The only space in the house that is really mine. I share it with the laundry machine and our bikes
My wife plays ukulele and piano, and I play guitar, ukulele, and harmonica, so we have a music section in our living room.
It's a nice comfortable playing area, and allows me to display most of my uke and guitar collection.
Still, I pretty much have to stick to being "unplugged" when she's at home.
R U my brother?
Beautiful! Congratulations!! Here's my 120 square feet of Musical Heaven!
Since we moved into the house three years ago the room has had 3 minor floods and the walls and ceiling opened three times to fix them! For now everything is stable!! It was originally a guest bedroom, but the cork floor makes for great acoustics. I used String Swing yokes in custom cherry wood blocks that I made myself. I'm very happy with it. My kids and I play in there together, it's a blast!
Enjoy your new Guitarsenal!!
That brick wall is freaking sick. I love that look.
Thanks. Between the reflectiveness of the brick and drywall and the absorption of the cork floor, the room has very nice acoustics. I got lucky. The beauty of having everything in one room is great. Close the door and enjoy. Plus my wife likes that there isn't music gear all over the house . Unless you count the congas, amps and cases under the basement stairs and the PA speakers in the garage!
My 2 current guitars hang behind the bar and my amp is at the other end of the room under the projection screen. This is in the basement so it's nearly 10 degrees cooler down there.
Why can't I get a neighbor like this.
When I turn around, I see this:
Well I certainly can't compete with these places but I did make a nice nest.
