I'm Anton and I was over the Internet to find a forum for guitar talk. Then, I found this and thought it's perfect.

My guitar is a P series MIJ Squier Telecaster with two humbucker pups (EMG '81 bridge and EMG '91 neck) that I bought from a guitarist of a local band. Interestingly, the guitar itself was a relic of the past here in my country as it was owned in the 90s or early 00s by an undergound rock musician who had a legendary status among those guitarists in-the-know. (Now, I say this because I'm primarily a synth player and bass guitarist.)

I may have questions about this one but, for now, I'm posting my introduction. I hope to learn more about this guitar and other Teles around... As I plan my next Tele purchase (those Japan Squiers really got a hold on me).

Oh, I play ambient and post-rock and the Tele is a perfect fit for the music I perform.

    Some pics:

Cool guitar, is the body original to the neck?
I love the '80s MIJ Squiers, getting expensive though, above my pay grade!

    Welcome to the TDPRI!

Here’s the neck pocket of an ‘85 MIJ Fender with familiar stamps.
I don’t have an ‘80s Squier and forget what should be in the pocket but if you take the neck off and post some pics in a new thread others can fill you in on the details.
Many of us like those early Squiers a lot and enjoy close up pics!

Thanks! I've unscrewed the neck off the body and found that the neck says something like SQII TLM however, the pocket on the body is quite different.

I don’t know how many TDPRIers know this, but in the entire world...

Filipinos are the absolute best in covering bands. There are like a thousand bands there, small local bands, that can cover...for example...every Meatloaf album. Or Bon Jovi. Or Rush. A thousand bands that can sound EXACTLY like the covers.

I know that some people don’t consider this a virtue, but I sure as hell do. It’s just freaking amazing.

These guys and gals are into the music on an entirely different level than many of us. More devotion and hard work.
