    Hi, All-

I am building a partscaster and have a Warmoth tele neck (quarter swn maple) with the Gotoh/Grover (13/32" 11/32") option. I want to get the Gotoh locking machines which require 11/32. Being that the drilling on the headstock is 11/32 to 13/32 step-down, this leaves space on the back between the peg and wood. Do I need to worry about that?

    Thanks,
    Mike

I haven't heard of that step down hole configuration. Is it something done to accommodate a certain kind of bushing? I'd call Warmoth, they'll know.

    It's to allow both 11/32 and 13/32. https://www.warmoth.com/Guitar/Necks/TunerHolesPop.aspx
i know they'll fit, but concerned with the extra space of the 13/32. I should have made it easier on myself and just chose the standard 11/32 vintage drilling, but wasn't sure which tuners I'd end up choosing.

There is no worry.....install and play. Be sure to mark the placement for the tuning machines with the bushings installed, though.
