If it were me i'd be glad that I wasn't lusting after something. More rational spending that way.

I'm currently in the same boat in relation to my income. I did buy something & some tools I need.

It's a little different than anything we have here in the states.

Give 10% to church or charity, and save the rest. Put it where GAS can't get at it.

You'll thank me when you get to be my age.

Depending on the amount of your bonus, you could put it toward a henway.

Ah, retirement. I have a solid retirement plan-

Keep playing guitar in bars until I fall over dead on stage, and hope to everything holy I don’t get sick before then. Once I’m dead, the joke is on my creditors!

Exactly what I kept encountering at the end of each year when I was still working and receiving hefty bonus payouts. Nice to receive the cash (that you earned with your performance..) but too exhausted to do much with it as you don't usually get the good bonuses for a regular 40 hour work week from my experience. I'd always make sure I was maxing out my 401K for the year and grabbing all the matching employer funds available and a bonus check was sometimes a great way to top it off. I also used them to pay down my mortgage which ultimately led to paying off the house early. And yes, the occasional Telecaster was known to appear around bonus time every so often! Make the most of it!

Can somebody remind me what’s a Christmas bonus? It seemed to have escaped my memory.

Not knowing exactly how yours works I would guess a 401K or an IRA would be the US equivalent. 401K is employer sponsored Named after the tax code that created it. IRA is private, individual retirement account.

Nothing wrong if you have no GAS. Just enjoy the guitars you actually have because we all do know that the next GAS attack is just matter of time ;)

Get a fifth Jackson, something different even if cheap. They have so many colors, too. That purple JS32 Dinky of mine was three bills but is a helluva guitar. You said you were Jonesing Jackson again;). Better yet get a Charvel. Dude needs help, lost a ton in the fires. Get that orange one I showed you before so I can come over and play it.

Nice problem to have. Hoping my wife gets another bonus like last year so I can get a new car. My 07 Acura will hit 250k next week.
