No amount of drink would make me buy that. It just ain't my thang.

Now Olympic white with a rosewood neck... Yowsah!

Very nice, except for the large headstock. Wouldn't it look great with a Tele neck?

Yeah, a smaller headstock would look better, not sure about a Tele head on a Strat, let's not get crazy.

As my friend Frankie said, I feel sorry for those who don’t drink, because when they wake up, that’s the best they’re going to feel all day ...

Just kidding, good on you ... now buy the damn Strat!

There is some truth in what Frank said.

That’s a clone of my first strat.. I do miss it sometimes.

Got a soft spot for the natural look.

It's nice and all that, but it needs a different scratchplate for my taste ( which may or may not be verging on the bad ).
MOTS or tortoise would swing it for me.

Maybe a metallic plate, with a bridge humbucker and brass block + control knobs in memory of Eddie.

Actually I like the big butt 70s headstocks.
    Not the 3 bolts however.

I like the big headstocks too. One good thing out of the CBS era, anyway.

I routinely acquire guitars while sober. It's while playing out in bars where the issues occur...

Natural finish stratocasters like that turn me off.

I first heard Frankie's line in the seventies, said by the late writer Mike Royko.....and I won't swear HE was the first to say it. Mike was the best "blue collar" newspaper writer I've ever come across.
And yeah....I'd have to be pretty soused to order that myself. Too much like my 1983 MIJ Fender Squier that stays in the closet all the time. Incredibly comfortable to play, but just don't care for the massive headstock. :)

I had one just like that in the late '70s, it was heavy and really thin sounding.

Great memories of the band I used it with, but not so great memories of the guitar.

Decided to quit smoking and drinking and the decision was right.

I had a Strat like that back in the early 80's. The poly was badly cracked across the whole guitar body, and somebody put brass knobs on it, which were not properly grounded. I only kept that guitar for about a year before moving it on to someone who was excited about rewiring it. Cool - because I wasn't.
