So I've had the solo from "Money" playing through my head for a week. Not the rest of the song, just the (awesome) solo. Does this happen to anyone else?

Side note: Saw an internet claim recently (and we all know how reliable THOSE are) that Gilmour played the solo with the volume up so loud that everyone else had to leave the building. I wonder if it's true.

Hey I've had the solo from Shine On You Crazy Diamond (from Syd's Theme to the Moog solo) in my head for weeks: can't walk the dog without it running round and round 20 times. Which is what comes of trying to transcribe it and learn it so the band can play it. I won't even be playing lead in the end but I need to know it so that we get the music right...!

I love the guitar on that. Beautiful song.

Although it's a great song, Money is so overplayed I can't stand to hear it anymore.

Amos Garrett's loopy, slippery, weird, "unguitarish" solo on Maria Muldaur's Midnight At The Oasis haunts me.
It's in my top five favorite guitar solos.
Amos played trombone at some point in his life.
Maybe that's why his playing is so slippery.

After listening to this, if you can, you will pray for the solo from "Money" to get back into your head.

Every great once in a while I'll get a cool blues rhythm suck in my head while I'm working alone. I can hear some great solos over it.

Love it when that happens. Wish i could play what i hear.

I almost constantly have one of David Gilmour's solos in my head. Love his guitar work like I do no other. That said if I ever do get an ear worm I don't like (for example Culture Club's Do You Really Want to Hurt Me ended up in there one day last week) I just force think of Van Halen's Intruder (the guitar "solo" right before Pretty Woman on their Diver Down album) which for some reason kills all and any ear worm's I get...
