There used to be a band here in KC called The Snotrockets
There used to be a do at Kansas University back in the late eighties, early nineties that was called Dos Cojones.
There was a band the Dave Grohl played in called "Me first and the gimmie gimmies"
Dave Grohl was in that band? No way!
Sorry, I made a mistake. It wasn't Rabe Grohl. Dave Rawn was the drummer although Grohl is a drummer too. (Most people around here in KC either have forgotten or are too young to remember him with Nirvana) Chris Schifflet from Foo Fighters is in that band.
I got them a little mixed up and had to look it up again.
I think I might try to name my next band The Snaggle-toothed Fear Mongers
A friend had a jam project where he made up a new band name every night they had the open jam. One of them that I sat in on was 'the SnaggleToothed Tigers'.
Some current ones:
Alice in Wonderbra
Freud, Marx, Engels & Jung
The Sensational Skydrunk Heartbeat Orchestra
Puta Madre Brothers
A guy I knew way back when had a band called Larry And The Mullets (nope, they had no idea what a mullet is ). Another one had Chicken Pox Pie.
Big Blister & The Pickers
I really dig Freud, Marx, Engels, & Jung. I couldn't tell you why. But it definitely gave me a smirk.
Alice In Wonderbra needs to be an instrumental title. We used to have a few like that. "Lassie Loves Garfield", "Raised By Wolves Only To Be Killed By Science", "Shave The Whales!", "Mars Needs Women And So Do I", "When Humans Go Upstream To Spawn"...etc.
Several of our instrumentals stole at least part of the ideas for their names from Far Side cartoons.
Must be something in your psyche.
You're referring to this band?
Meh. It happens. Most anything that's a good name has been taken somewhere.
I'm a big fan of theirs.
